TIME TRAVEL. FOSSIL REPLICA WORKSHOP.
11:00 a.m. - Duration: 1h 30min
Paleontology workshop where children can make their own fossil mould and discover the different species, some extinct and others evolved, of living beings that inhabited the seas and forests of Benalmádena 10,000 years ago.
An activity where attendees will actively participate, learning what a fossil is, the different types that exist and their fossilisation process. To do so, they will become palaeontologists; they will work actively creating a plaster replica, which will imitate the morphology of a living being from the past whose remains have become a fossil.
Workshop developed and taught in collaboration with the group ‘Walking on glyptodonts and sabre-toothed tigers’, National University of La Plata (Argentina).
‘Time Travel’ is an initiative where the little ones will discover the rich history of Benalmádena. One Saturday a month, we will embark on an exciting journey through time, exploring different historical periods of our municipality.
