The mayor, Paloma García, shared an afternoon snack over Christmas with more than 40 interpreters and foreigners assistance volunteers who help throughout the town.

She was joined by the councillor for Foreign Residents, Adolfo Fernandez at the Silvestre Gonzales Day Centre in Benalmadena Pueblo to thank them for the work they do to help compatriots.

The volunteers received a diploma in recognition of their collaboration with the town hall throughout the year. The mayor prised the work they do to help people with administrative procedures at the health centres, police station and other public buildings, which aids communication and promote integration.
