The mayor, Paloma García Galvez, presided over the closing act and prize-giving of the Spanish 10 dance Championship, held in Andalucía for the first time.

The event, held in February in Arroyo de la Miel Municipal Sports Centre was a popular attraction for dance lovers who came from throughout Spain and abroad.

Around 500 couples from different Spanish provinces tookpart and the audience was able to enjoy the elegance, skill and visual spectacle of their dancing, from 8.00 am to 10.pm non stop. The championship was organised by the Spanish Federation of Sports dancing with the collaboration of Benalmadena Town Hall.
