More than 1.000 people gathered in Plaza de la Mezquita in Arroyo de la Miel to celebrate saint George’s Day. The mayor of Benalmadena, Paloma García Gálvez, who attended the celebration with the councillor for Foreign Residents, Adolfo Fernandez, said she was pleased at how popular the event was becoming year after year, not only amongst English Residents, but also amongst the general public.

The day included live music, activities for children, and more than 20 stands representing different English associations and businesses in Benalmadena, as well as offering English food and handicrafts.
