The Tourism department of the Benalmádena Town Council, chaired by Encarnación Cortés, has announced the launch of an imminent promotion campaign of Benalmádena as sport destination addressed to the European football and athletics federations.
This promotional action of the touristic sport offer of the city, addressed to international federative contacts through an specific marketing campaign, pretends to offer a wide package of sport facilities to a total of 53 European football federations and 49 athletics federations from all the continent, although the department put special emphasis on focusing on those countries whose rigors of winter impede the outdoor sports.
The campaign, which has counted on the collaboration of Patronato Deportivo Municipal and the Puerto Deportivo of Benalmádena, pursues that the national federations of football and athletics clubs like Sweden, Iceland, Russia, Norway, Lithuania, Estonia, Denmark, Poland, Ukraine or Finland, among others, consider Benalmádena and its eleven enclaves for sports for their competition trainings, in many cases suspended from November to March due to low temperatures.
