The mayor and councilor for Foreign Residents, Víctor Navas, has joined the Norwegian community for the celebration of its National Day (may 17), in commemoration of the signing of its Constitution in 1814.

After the celebration of a mass in the church of the Immaculate Conception, a parade has traveled the main streets of the center of Arroyo de la Miel, accompanied by the Municipal Music Band of Benalmádena.

'The celebration of Norway´s National Day in Benalmádena is already a tradition: we do not only have large Norwegian companies that generate employment and wealth, but we also have the Norwegian College of the Costa del Sol, aspects that have given rise to a large community of Norwegian residents, which currently totals more than 400 people registered in the town', declared the mayor.
