The town’s diverse foreign-residents community took part in this event, which included stands with typical Christmas products from 12 contries: Spain, England, Ireland, Finland, the Netherlands, France, Poland, The Philippines, Jamaica, Colimbia, Paraguay and Argentina. The day also included performances of folcloric songs and dance from different countries.
”We want this event to serve as a reinforcement of the links between the foreign – resident community and the town’s local life and customs, and as a way for native Benalmadenses to learn more about the cultures of our neighbours from other countries,” said the mayor Javier Carnero, who is also the councillor for foreign residents.
