The Foreigners Department headed by the Mayor, Javier Carnero visited the Royal British Legion last week. The aim of these visits is to inform foreign residents about things like, registration in the town hall, local taxes or cultural events.

The Legion is devoted to helping those beneficiaries who have served in Her Majesty Forces and their dependants. The first branch of the Royal British Legion in South Spain was opened in 1987 in Fuengirola and shortly after was moved to Benalmadena. Now it is called “Benalmadena Branch” and meets in the “Blazing Saddles” bar in Avenida Bonanza every Monday at 11:00 am.
