The Festival of Christmas Traditions organized by the Foreign Residents Department in Benalmadena was a great success. From midday until well into the evening crowds and vistors enjoyed the distinctive music, food, and culture of the countries which took part: Spain, Ireland, Philipins, Argentina, Scottland, Germany, England, Poland, Finnland, Colombia, Peru, Jamaica, Senegal, France and Wales. Among the entertainment the most popular were Scottish pipers, a folk group from Senegal and dancers from Ireland.
